Hi Liz
Fantastic as we always walk around nutty trust places trying to feel the soul of the place which does involve who worked there, what did they do, where did they come from, how long were they there etc, etc. But it is always difficult to do so when you know so little and whilst a lot is known about Lord Dinefwr I think it would be true to say virtually nothing is known about his staff. We happened to try to visit Newton House on the day of his funeral (not surprisingly perhaps it was closed but then we didn't know it was his funeral) and as we came out his funeral cortege was going in and it seemed strange to me that a Lord had an ordinary funeral and hearse and not something a lot grander.
We would love to know more about your grandmother and dad with photos as well if you happen to have any with anything on the history of Llandeilo as it seems a lovely old town losing its identity under modernism.

Found this site almost by accident. I remember my father, David Thomas (sometimes known as Davy or Dai) who was born in 1900 telling me that as a young man he worked for Lord Dinefwr. I believe my late grandmother, Mary Thomas (nee Parry) was from the Llandeilo area. Dad was a saddler by trade although I don't know whether it was in this capacity that he worked at Dinefwr.

Thanks for the article. My spouse and i have often observed that most people are needing to lose weight simply because wish to show up slim and also attractive. Nevertheless, they do not continually realize that there are other benefits for you to losing weight additionally. Doctors assert that over weight people suffer from a variety of conditions that can be perfectely attributed to their own excess weight. The good thing is that people who\'re overweight along with suffering from diverse diseases are able to reduce the severity of their particular illnesses simply by losing weight. You\'ll be able to see a constant but noted improvement in health while even a slight amount of weight loss is accomplished.

One thing I\'d prefer to comment on is that weight loss program fast may be accomplished by the correct diet and exercise. Ones size not simply affects appearance, but also the general quality of life. Self-esteem, depressive disorder, health risks, and also physical ability are disturbed in putting on weight. It is possible to make everything right and at the same time having a gain. Should this happen, a medical problem may be the primary cause. While an excessive amount food instead of enough body exercise are usually guilty, common health concerns and key prescriptions might greatly amplify size. I am grateful for your post in this article.

I learned more new things on this losing weight issue. One issue is a good nutrition is highly vital while dieting. An enormous reduction in fast foods, sugary foodstuff, fried foods, sweet foods, pork, and white-colored flour products could be necessary. Having wastes harmful bacteria, and harmful toxins may prevent aims for shedding fat. While certain drugs momentarily solve the challenge, the awful side effects are usually not worth it, they usually never provide more than a non permanent solution. This can be a known idea that 95% of celebrity diets fail. Many thanks sharing your thinking on this blog.

Thanks for the tips shared on your blog. Something else I would like to say is that weight reduction is not exactly about going on a dietary fads and trying to reduce as much weight as you\'re able in a couple of days. The most effective way to shed weight is by taking it slowly and obeying some basic guidelines which can help you to make the most from a attempt to shed pounds. You may recognize and already be following a few of these tips, although reinforcing know-how never hurts.

I believe that avoiding packaged foods could be the first step to help lose weight. They might taste fine, but highly processed foods include very little nutritional value, making you take in more only to have enough vigor to get over the day. For anyone who is constantly feeding on these foods, switching to cereals and other complex carbohydrates will aid you to have more vitality while eating less. Great blog post.

That's really exciting about the bees! When our local Flower Show comes around I always like to go and see the Bee display - they have honey combs and honey, and candles made from the wax (smell so nice!). When I was at Uni there was a deli that got honeycomb in little wooden boxes and I always wanted to buy one, but I wouldn't have known what to do with it.

Hi,
We saw you will be at Narberth Food Festival and wondered whether you would be interested in attending this year on 6th August? Our event attracts about 8-10000 visitors annually and this year there will be the additional attraction of a ‘Medieval Day’ taking place up the road in the Castle on the day. You can find the application form in both English and Welsh on our website www.cardigan-food-festival.co.uk where you can also see a video of last year’s event.
Festivals Events Cardigan Bay are the new organisers of the Cardigan River and Food Festival, taking place later this year on 6th August. We only came into existence on April 1st, which is why it has taken longer than usual to get the application forms out to stall holders and interested businesses. Although we are a new organisation it is still mostly the same people running this event, so you can expect similar things to previous years – the same riverside location, the same mix of river events, live music and entertainment for kids and adults throughout the day, the same emphasis on good food through our chef’s demonstrations and the great stallholders who support us year on year. We can only hope that we also have the same sunshine and good weather that we enjoyed last year!
However, we are always looking to improve the event and we have listened to some of the feedback from visitors, participants, sponsors and stallholders to give us ideas for what else we could do, or what we could do better. So this year there will be no funfair amusements as in previous years – instead we will have seating and tables for visitors to eat and drink their purchases in a new food court area close to the river. The stalls in the food market will remain largely where they have been in the upper car park, with marquees containing the cooking demonstrations, local producers’ market, craft fair and entertainments in the lower car park. We will also have more toilets.
We are keen to have you attend the festival to promote your food to our visitors. The event has taken place annually for 12 years and has grown to attract 8-10K visitors and features nearly 100 stalls and exhibitors, including many local producers and True Taste award winners. There will be two cooking demonstration areas, one of which will this year be promoting the ‘low carbon cook off’ in collaboration with Wales Eco Centre.
Please note that if you are serving food or drink to be consumed at the festival you will need to book a stall in the food court area, and if you are selling food and drink to be consumed off site then you will need to book a stall in the food market area. If you are serving alcohol you will also need to complete and return our alcohol traders agreement.
We look forward to receiving your booking, and seeing you on 6th August!
